I think that these pictures showed that the war was regarded more than just a struggle for freedom, these pictures represented very strong feelings, hard times, and even the beauty of the war.
I think these pictures showed the way the war was. That they were struggling through out it all. Through the hard times and the treacherous living conditions.
I think the pictures show how the war changed over time. In the beginning we saw pictures where the people were relaxed and as time went on pictures became busy and showed war. By the end of the documentary the pictures showed all of the ruins and death.
I think the pictures were really graphic, and showed how deadly the war really was. What struck me most was the surgical pictures, showing the amputated legs.
Do you think the pictures were graphic enough to give you an idea what it would have been like to be in that was at that very moment? Do you think the pictures express the true horrors of war?
I think that these photos showed how the war changed over time. I thought that the photo that we saw of that slave with the scars on his back showed what the extent of slavery really was.
That is one of two reasons it was that what you said and at that time it was a vary big thing to get your picture taken beacause it was not a comen thing like today.
I think the pictures expressed the people’s feelings. In the beginning, the pictures showed the soldiers being relaxed and kind of goofing around. Then later once the war actually began, it showed the pain and the misery. It showed the physical pain of people getting amputations, or the wreckage caused by the war, and it showed how people’s lives were affected.
During the beginning the people in the photos were happy excited for the oncoming leap into battle. In the end they were graphic the pictures were of injured/dead people everything was grim sad and depressing.
I agree but I think it was more in the middle of the war when the pictures were graphic and at the end when the war was over they seem to settle down and not be so graphic.
I think these photos showed what the war was like. I showed the worst parts of the war that people sometimes could not speak about. They opened our eyes to the terror of war.
These pictures showed what life was like and war. Some were graphic and some were not at all. If you watch how they change you see that a lot of them got worse in the middle of the war and better at the end sometimes.
